Q:  Do you have a promotional video or DVD we can have?

A: We prefer to keep our costs as reasonable as possible.  Hiring a company to produce a product worth distributing to potential clients would result in higher rates to cover the cost of video production.  With most companies that produce videos, the person in the video is not necessarily the person who will MC your wedding.  We prefer to invite you to one of the many receptions we do.  That way you can see how we handle the crowd & play music the Knight Life way!

 

Q:  How many DJ's do you have and who will be working our wedding?

A:  Part 1 - Knight-Life's standard package includes one DJ.  One of our DJ's has no problem working the system, interacting with the dance floor and taking requests for most receptions.  

    Part 2 - If you would like to lock in a specific DJ the customer will be given the option to meet that person.  An additional fee will apply.

 

Q:  Where should I place the DJ system?  

A:  Every reception is unique.  Our reception service can help you plan your evening or answer any questions you may have.  Most of the time, the DJ and dance floor is best situated within close proximity to the bar.  Splitting the two often splits the crowd into the bar group and the dancing group.  

Moving the sound system away from the dance floor removes the DJ from the party and their ability to interact with the dancers.  The tempo and timing for the evening will be off and the party will suffer as a result.

 

Q:  Do you have a cordless microphone?

A:  Yes. One cordless microphones is used for the entrance & toast portion of the evening only when not provided by the reception hall.  

 

Q:  Do you take requests?

A:  Yes! We love requests and will work them into what we are playing.  In order to keep the tempo and rhythm of the dance going some requests may not be played.  

 

Q:  Do you travel outside your normal playing area?

A:  We consider travel requests on a case by case basis.  If we choose to travel, time, mileage and lodging may be charged.  This is determined on a case by case basis.

Updated Summer 2006... Travel is billed the day of the event and is based on current fuel rates.  Our travel costs cover: Overtime, Vehicle Ware, Fuel and a Percentage Fee.  

 

Q:  Have you ever missed an event?

A:  We have a perfect record.  We have never missed a booking since we started business in 1990!  That's more than 200 weddings per year alone!

 

Q:  How far out do you book?

A:  Most people are booking six to twelve months out.  If you know your date, choose the people you want and book them.  Don't wait!  We are a first-come first-serve business and we do not pencil dates.  Even if you don't choose us, book your DJ immediately once the date is selected and the church and hall are secured.

 

Q:  Do you have a light show?

A:  Yes, we have a great light show...one of the best around with more than twenty lights.  These light can stand alone without the use of fog or haze, and all are computer controlled.  Oh, and we don't charge extra.  Not even for set-up!

 

Q:  What if I only need four hours? Can I get a less expensive rate?

A:  Off nights and school functions have a reduced rate.  We have an excellent rate for what we provide compared to our competition with similar products and services.  If you still want a less expensive rate we have a smaller system and beginner dj's that would love to do your event. Call for details.

 

Q:  How do you work with the crowd?

A:  We have developed ways over the years to get people out of their chairs and onto the floor.  It would be a shame to spend all that money only to have nothing more than a jukebox.

 

 Q:  Do you have a back-up system?

A:  Yes!  Our major components are backed up and our equipment is checked regularly.  

 

Q:  Are you a card table or garage DJ?

A:  No.  Our systems are professional sound systems that cost over $10,000.  Remember, you get what you pay for with DJ's.  Most guests will not remember the food they ate but I can assure you they will remember a bad DJ or a system they couldn't hear.  

 

Q:  How do I book you?

A:  Call or e-mail us today.  Bookings are first-come, first-serve.  No dates are booked until we have a booking fee and a signed contract.
